Indigenous Women’s Pre-Conference 2019

The Nutsamaht: We are One. Our Voices. Our Stories. Indigenous Women’s Pre-Conference to Women Deliver 2019 was a one-day pre-conference focused on Aboriginal Women in BC, Canada and World-wide.

This event was held to highlight issues of importance to Indigenous women and girls, and celebrate Indigenous women of diverse perspectives, strengths, abilities, sexual orientations (Two spirit and LGBTQ+) and gender identity. The Indigenous Women’s Pre-Conference explored how we can build awareness of Indigenous women’s issues, improve Indigenous wellness outcomes and restore the important role of First Nations women as leaders in their family, community and society.

The conference was hosted on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, Squamish Nations people.

Branding an Empowering Experience Celebrating Indigenous Women

Ecstatic developed a full brand identity and collateral for the Women Deliver pre-conference event, that powerfully portrayed the events theme:

Wellness of women as life givers throughout their lifecycle, connection of land and environment, and global representation.

Indigenous Women’s Pre-Conference was convened by the First Nations Health Authority, BC Ministry of Health Office of the Provincial Health Officer, Provincial Health Services Authority, BC Women’s Hospital Foundation, BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and Aboriginal Health.

The Event

Creating Compelling Narratives with Clean Design

Ecstatic built a clean and dynamic brand system, that was functional yet aesthetically driven to communicate the empowerment and connectivity that drove this event.

The conference focused on celebrating strength and building awareness of Indigenous women’s issues. Our mission at Ecstatic was to closely collaborate with the main stakeholders at First Nations Health Authority, to produce a visual brand using bold colours inspired by Indigenous culture, while reflecting their core values.

The Digital Experience

A Minimalist User-Experience Brought to Life

The strategy and development of this event website was to create a responsive, simple and user-friendly website, that could evolve with the event’s tight timeline.

Sections were planed and created in advance, then deployed and published when needed. The client was able to make quick updates when speakers were confirmed and upload important documents. The brand aligned with the main Women Deliver event, and resulted in a huge success.
