Resort Municipality of Whistler
A World Class Resort
The Resort Municipality of Whistler has been governing and managing Whistler for both residents and visitors for 40+ years.
The Cultural Connector provides a scenic pathway linking six of Whistler’s most significant cultural institutions. The route links the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, the Whistler Public Library, Maury Young Arts Centre, Lost Lake PassivHaus, Whistler Museum and the Audain Art Museum.
From the First Nations communities that first explored the land, to the modern pioneers who helped to build Whistler, and the art that pays homage to the history of Whistler and British Columbia, the Cultural Connector guides visitors on a new Whistler journey.
What We Did

The Cultural Connector
Celebrating Arts and Culture
Whistler’s marketing initiatives for this district implementation shows the on-going support of arts and culture in their community.
This project was supported by the Province of British Columbia’s Resort Municipality Initiative and the Government of Canada.
It’s best-known as a ski town, but Whistler’s Cultural Connector proves that art and culture are just as integral to the village as sports. The Cultural Connector is the perfect guide if you want to hit up every spot that offers Whistler’s past and present stories.
